Frequently Asked Questions
I can't find the CFTS app on the App Store or Google Play. Why?

The CFTS app is web-based and not a downloadable app. You can access it through your browser and add it to your home screen for quick use. It works on mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.
What does it cost to use the app?

There is no upfront or license fee. Instead you'll be charged at £5 per inspection which will is invoiced monthly.
How do I get the stickers and decals?

These are sent out to you periodically and are included in the £5 inspection cost.
How do I log in?
⠀
All CFTS members (managers and examiners) will have been sent a welcome email from either marketing@thoroughexamination.org or app@thoroughexamination.org with their login details.
What if I can't find the welcome email or it has expired?

Firstly please check your junk or spam folder. If you still cannot find it, contact your local CFTS Technical Manager who can resend the email.
Why hasn't everyone within my team received an invite?

Only the scheme managers (including deputies) and examiners will have received an invite to log into the app.
How do I make sure the right people get access?
⠀
Log into your CFTS membership page and ensure roles (manager/examiner) and depot details are accurate and up to date.
What do I do once I am logged in?

There are two helpful YouTube tutorials available — one for managers and one for examiners — to guide you through the app.
What level of access do I get?
⠀
There are two access levels: one for managers and one for examiners. If you're assigned both roles, you'll have access to both. This will be shown on your Account page.
How do my customers get a copy of their reports and certificates?

These are sent by email upon completion of each inspection. Customers will also receive an invitation to log in and view their examinations, with the ability to download their own reports and track upcoming examinations.
