How to stop CFTS App emails going to your junk folder

Not receiving CFTS app emails? Here’s how to whitelist them

Some members have found that emails from the CFTS app are going into junk or spam folders. This can happen with automated emails on some email systems. This can stop you receiving login links, alerts, and important updates.

To make sure you don’t miss anything, add these email addresses to your safe sender list:

marketing@thoroughexamination.org

app@thoroughexamination.org

 

Below are simple steps for the most common email platforms:

First check your junk or spam folder

Before changing any settings:

  1. Open your junk or spam folder
  2. Find an email from marketing@thoroughexamination.org or app@thoroughexamination.org (check for both)
  3. Mark it as Not Spam or Move to Inbox

This is often enough to resolve the issue.

 

iPhone / iPad (Apple Mail)

  1. Open the Mail app
  2. Go to the Junk folder
  3. Open an email from marketing@thoroughexamination.org or app@thoroughexamination.org (check for both)
  4. Tap MoveInbox

To prevent future issues:

  • Open the email
  • Tap the sender name
  • Tap Add to Contacts

 

iPhone / iPad (Gmail app)

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Tap Menu (☰) → Spam
  3. Open an email from the CFTS app
  4. Tap the three dots → Not spam

Optional extra step:

  • Tap the sender
  • Choose Add to contacts

 

Android (Gmail app)

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Tap Menu (☰) → Spam
  3. Open the email from marketing@thoroughexamination.org or app@thoroughexamination.org (check for both)
  4. Tap Not spam

You can also:

  • Tap the sender name
  • Add them to your contacts

 

Gmail on desktop (browser)

  1. Open Gmail in your browser
  2. Go to Spam (left sidebar)
  3. Open the email from marketing@thoroughexamination.org or app@thoroughexamination.org (check for both)
  4. Click Not spam

To whitelist permanently:

  1. Click the settings cog → See all settings
  2. Go to Filters and blocked addresses
  3. Click Create a new filter
  4. In the “From” field, enter:
    marketing@thoroughexamination.org
  5. Click Create filter
  6. Tick Never send it to Spam
  7. Repeat for app@thoroughexamination.org

Outlook on the web (Office 365 / Outlook.com)

  1. Open Outlook in your browser
  2. Go to Junk Email
  3. Right-click the email from the CFTS app
  4. Select Not junk

To add as safe sender:

  1. Click the settings cog → Email → Junk email
  2. Under Safe senders, click Add
  3. Enter: marketing@thoroughexamination.org

 

Outlook desktop app (Windows)

  1. Go to the Junk Email folder
  2. Right-click the email
  3. Select Junk → Not Junk

To whitelist:

  1. Click the settings cog → Email → Junk email
  2. Under Safe senders, click Add
  3. Enter: marketing@thoroughexamination.org and app@thoroughexamination.org

 

Apple Mail (Mac desktop)

  1. Open the Mail app
  2. Go to the Junk folder
  3. Select the email from marketing@thoroughexamination.org or app@thoroughexamination.org (check for both)
  4. Click Not Junk

Then:

  • Open the email
  • Click the sender name
  • Choose Add to Contacts

 

Still not receiving emails?

If you’ve followed the steps above and emails are still missing:

  • Check with your IT department (if your email is company managed). If your email is managed by your company, your IT provider may need to whitelist the address at server level.
  • Make sure your mailbox isn’t full
  • Confirm the correct email address is registered with CFTS
